1. How does the packaging work?
The packaging regulates the amount of energy that needs to reach the food to be reheated. This functionality is enabled by a thin metal sheet that is integrated inside the packaging walls. Dependant on the exact built-up definition of this layer, percentage wise, more or less energy will pass directly to the food (physical shielding principle). Independent of the microwave system power x% of the power will pass and the rest will be blocked. As long as the packaging stays in an active microwave system this process will prolong.

2. This invention is new for me, are there special issues to look for?
The packaging is designed in such a way that no problems inside the microwave cavity will occur, under the condition that the packaging is undamaged. We also advise to use at a maximum one package at a time. Further we recommend not positioning the packaging together with conducting materials like forks, knives or spoons inside the microwave cavity.

3. Is it possible to position the product directly from the freezer into the microwave?
Always obey the instructions on the package. Only freezer applications specially developed by Shieltronics are suited for direct applicability in a microwave without facing problems.

4. Can I compose an arbitrary meal combination myself?
The CuliDish product is available in a large variety of meal components. We explicitly advise end-users not to experiment themselves with meal compositions, as the producer doesn't guaranty any warranty for non-compliance.

5. Is it allowed to open the packaging and take out an individual pack before the packaging will be processed in a microwave system?
In order to reach an optimal result you are kindly asked not to diverge from the meal composition as formulated by the producer. See also the explanation given in question one.
6. Is the CuliDish product in this form made for re-usage?
No, the product is designed for single use.
7. Is CuliDish to be foreseen as a re-usable concept?
No, not at this very moment.
8. Is the product suited for oven usage?
No, the basic product consists out of Polypropylene and as such is not oven-proof. Besides there is no need because the meal processing is optimised for microwave usage. The effect as gained by a microwave process can't be gained, under any condition, with an oven!
9. Is the product suited for each arbitrary microwave system?
Yes, in principle each consumer microwave system for household applications is suited to work with the packaging (restriction f [microwave] = 2450 MHz). This statement is independent of the microwave system power [high or low] while it is irrelevant whether the microwave contains a rotating or static plateau.
10. What processing time do I have to take care of related to my personal microwave system?
In general it can be stated that the higher the microwave power the shorter the processing time needs to be. The packaging contains information about what processing time needs to be regarded at a certain microwave power. Accordingly as microwave systems become older and their processing power degenerates, the CuliDish producer can't anticipate this effect.
11. Is the processing time comparable to the one related to a conventional meal in a microwave system?
In general it can be stated that the processing time will be shorter because the meal components need less energy in order to reach the desired end temperature.
12. Is it allowed to put several packages simultaneously in a microwave?
No. |
13. Can I use the packaging in case it is damaged?
Use at own risk. In case the individual packs are (heavily) damaged, as can be visually determined by looking for cracks, the producer can't guarantee normal operation like that which can be expected in case of undamaged packages.
